Treasure Coast Legal recognized for pro bono efforts

STUART, Fla. – The team at Treasure Coast Legal was recently recognized by the Southern District of Florida US Bankruptcy Court for its commitment to pro bono work in the community.

Attorneys Katherine Mish, Esq. and Shaun Plymale, Esq. were each awarded for their contributions to pro bono representation in the US Bankruptcy Court. Both Mish and Plymale are actively involved in the community, serving with organizations like LEADERship Martin County Alumni Foundation for Youth, Impact 100 and more.

Treasure Coast Legal sponsored a back to school breakfast for the teachers and staff at Hidden Oaks Middle School this August, providing breakfast and goodie bags to kick off the start of a new school year.

"Our teachers work incredibly hard year-round, so we wanted to show our support for the valuable work they do," said Shaun Plymale, Esq., managing member of Treasure Coast Legal. "The breakfast was our small way of saying thank you."

The breakfast was well-attended by teachers, faculty and staff, and Plymale had the opportunity to share his gratitude in person.

Treasure Coast Legal's supermarket challenge results in 622 meals for the Treasure Coast Food Bank

STUART, Fla. – The team at Treasure Coast Legal took to the aisles of the supermarket for a race against the clock, facing off for the Treasure Coast Food Bank.

Each of the five attorneys at Treasure Coast Legal, armed only with a shopping cart and the food bank's list of its top ten most wanted items, competed against one another in a supermarket sweep on Tuesday, June 13 at Winn Dixie in Stuart. With fifteen minutes on the clock, the goal was to fill their carts with as many items on the most-wanted list, the winner getting as close to $200 at the checkout without going over.
